Ian Silk is the current and founding CEO of AustraliaSuper. Ian has held the role since AustralianSuper was established in 2006. Prior to the establishment of AustralianSuper Ian was the CEO of the Australian Retirement Fund (AFR). In 2006, AFR merged with Superannuation Trust of Australia (STA) and formed AustralianSuper, in which Ian continued to perform the role of CEO.

Ian also maintains a number of roles in the wider superannuation industry. He is president of the Australian Council of Superannuation Investors (ACSI) as well as a Director of Industry Super Australia.
